    Description

    SHIPS BAGGED BOARDED AND BUBBLED!!!!
Quite an interesting item. An invitation to Mr. And Mrs. Lester Crown to honor Jehan Sadat from the 1970s most likely... The dinner was in Chicago. the invitation has an invstation with an embossed stamp from the City of Chicago as shown.
Before or after the peace accords? I don't know. Before or after the assassination of anwar El Sadat? I don't know.
But this shows how on a personal level the leaders of Egypt personally had no animus against Jewish people in particular. The Schine family and the Crowns were at the top of society in New York which included very many Jewish members. definitely including the Schine family and perhaps the Crowns as well, I don't know for sure. But the 2 families were so close that this was kept by Hildegarde shine in her famous family scrapbooks. Scrapbook evidence shown on reverse of item.
Directly from the family archives of Hildegarde and JUNIUS SChine who were best friends wirh the Lester Crowns ...who owned about half of New York City between the 2 of them during the 1970s. In  All seriousness the Crowns owned the Empire State Building and the Schines owned the Waldorf Astoria, the Ambassador Hotel (Los Angeles) among other notable properties.
This is quite a rare and remarkable piece from the Peace Accord Days.
